Perio Protect Explained

If we determine that Perio Protect is appropriate for you, trays or oral appliances will be customized to fit the contours of your mouth precisely and comfortably. They are made using impressions or models of your mouth to assure optimal fit. Furthermore, these proprietary trays feature a sealing system. Once filled with medication to cleanse the periodontal pocket and fight bacteria and bad breath, these made-to-fit trays effectively deliver the therapeutic agent deeply to the tissues underneath the gum line. Brushing and flossing cannot reach these areas, and even scaling and root planing (or deep cleaning) can be challenged to penetrate and treat these tissues adequately.

Furthermore, due to the design of the trays, the Perio Protect Method™ holds medication in the place where it is needed most – at the site of the periodontal infection.
